Viking Raiders Landing by Buashei Viking Raiders Landing by Buashei
Finished Fantasy Viking Raider for a friend. All in all about 6-7 hours of work with pencil and photoshop but spread across a week (I just cant do something in one session). I have used a little piece of someone elses work - that will be piece of boat (cant give credits because I dont remember where I got it from). Hope you like it. Please give some advice or corrections for future work thx. Regards.

As for drawing, I can only said that it is beautifuly drawn.
As for Huscarl... I must note that Huscarl could never have plate armour, but only reinforced mail hauberk. Helmets were also much more simplier.
So as an artist I can say: A good one.
As a historician I must say the opposite.

But nevermind, carry on it is a good work :)

You're welcome.
Huscarls were originaly Vikings, with some Saxon joining their ranks later. I was talking about hte elite force, not the Old Norse meaning.
and by the way if you want to learn about huscarls you can do so at the following page:

I hope I have been of some help to you.

I have another question for you, as you are a historian, I curious what do you think about this article?

Well it is a preparing article for a larger work. I definitely agree in many points.

USSR wasn't that evil - Stalin was a kind of monster though.
There is the point - Germans put into concentration camps and killing camps jews and criminals.
But Russians put everyone in there - just for sake of numbers - Simply said: Stalin needed a sea canal to be dug... so there were sent 10 milions of people to dig it up (and more than 90% were without tools) in a frost ground.

I suppose that you know one quotation of Stalin's: "The death of one man is a tragedy. The death of millions is a statistic.”
Besides Russia had always a lot of people - why care about losing a few milions... That was the philosophy.

In WW2 Russians conducted bayonet charges against German tank divisions - successfuly!

I agree in many points with the post you've listed, when talking about something, one should know as much as he can about the topic.

Dont you think this guy has exagerrated russian patriotic aproach? He makes so many exagerrations, intentional miastakes and distortions. I was curious if you agree with his arguments? As a historian you surely do have opinion about matter he touched I was curious about your judge of things.

hi!; i love your work...

it`s very consistent, (theme).

I`ll give you a little recomendation, but very useful.

for this particular piece, note, that you put the helmet and the sail.lines a little much close, i`think it would be , better if one thing is separated from the other.

bood bye.
great job.
